The small church of Berguerina is located on the turn of the road which leads to Berguerina, a resort of Trecenta, in the area of Alto Polesine. According to archeological discoveries, settlements in this place started in the roman period; the church was built above them in 1700 a.C., and it was restored in the ‘30s, thanks to the legacy of a local benefactress. Berguerina’s church has been for years a centre for both social and religious gatherings; inside the church you can see the statue of a beautiful Black Madonna, one of the few present in Italy.
